Code of Conduct

Basic rules for fair, trusted, and professional use of FCC Connect.

1. Purpose

FCC Connect exists to support collaboration, initiative development, member exchange, and joint conservation work within the Frankfurt Conservation Center context. Users are expected to act in a manner that strengthens trust, cooperation, and institutional integrity.

2. Professional and respectful conduct

Users must engage with other participants respectfully, professionally, and in good faith. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, misuse of authority, and inappropriate communication are not permitted.

3. Responsible use of information

Users may access information about members, project concepts, initiative ideas, collaboration interests, and platform activity. This information is made available only to support FCC related work and collaboration.

Users must not use knowledge, insights, contacts, or materials obtained through FCC Connect for unrelated personal benefit, external commercial gain, or the development of parallel competing activities outside FCC processes.

In particular, users must not use information gained through the platform to replicate, appropriate, undermine, or compete against FCC initiatives, concepts, or collaborative opportunities outside the FCC context.

4. Proper use of member and initiative data

Member profiles, initiative descriptions, collaboration interests, and related documents may only be used for assessing fit, building teams, strengthening initiatives, and supporting FCC related collaboration. Users must not harvest, copy, extract, or reuse such information to build external databases, networks, or competing offers.

5. Accuracy and honesty

Users must provide truthful and accurate information about themselves, their expertise, and their role. They must not misrepresent affiliations, intentions, or permissions.

6. Confidentiality and discretion

Some information shared through FCC Connect may be sensitive, preliminary, or intended only for internal collaborative purposes. Users must handle such information with discretion and must not share it outside authorized FCC related contexts without permission.

7. Intellectual integrity and fair collaboration

Users must respect the contributions, ideas, and work of others. Concepts and opportunities encountered through FCC Connect should be treated as part of a collaborative process, not as material for unilateral appropriation or external competitive positioning.

8. Compliance

Users must comply with applicable laws, institutional obligations, confidentiality expectations, and platform rules. FCC may suspend or remove access where misuse, misconduct, or breach of this Code of Conduct is identified.

9. Acceptance

By registering for and using FCC Connect, users confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted this Code of Conduct and agree to use the platform only in a way that supports legitimate FCC related collaboration.
